Yes, it's me.... AGAIN!

Tomorrow morning at 5am I board ANOTHER plane and head down to the Whitsunday Islands for 4 days of island bliss (even if it is bucketing down)!

I have spent the last 5 days on tours of the Daintree, Cape Tribulation, the Bloomfield track and the Great Barrier Reef!

Besides turning numerous shades of green on the trip out to the Great Barrier Reef it has been great!  Another completely different part of Australia with rain forests and beautiful ocean!

I am one very lucky pixie to get to see all of this (plus as you will see below.... I had a few close encounters of the aqua kind).

Hello Everyone!

I arrived in Cairns yesterday evening and tomorrow I head off on a daytrip to Cape Tribulation, Daintree and the Bloomfield Track and the day after I do my dive on the Great Barrier Reef!

I would sincerely recommend the Red Centre to anyone and everyone!  It was simply fantastic!  I don't think I have EVER seen so many stars in the sky and SO clearly!  The Olga's were amazing, I hiked into the gorge (did not do the valley of the winds hike though) and the following morning I did the sunrise hike around the base of Uluru (better known as Ayers Rock).  It was simply breathtaking (photo's below).  The following day it was off to Kings Canyon and then back to Alice Springs.

All I can say is... WOW!

I hope you are all well?

I am back from my Northern Territory Tour and am hopping back on a plane and heading down to Alice Springs today.  My Northern Territory trip was definitely an eye opener!  I saw lots of wildlife, climbed rocks, swam in rock pools (potentially with crocs) and slept in a tent!  Those of you who know me will know that I just DON'T DO camping!  But I did it and I have another 3 days and 2 nights of it coming up in Alice Springs where I will be going to see Uluru, Kings Canyon and Kata Utja.

Admittedly when I'm camping I do not sleep!  I am lying there with my torch on, flashing it around the tent, petrified of snakes and spiders.  On my last night of camping, there was a brown snake by the toilets (they are deadly), needless to say, I did not go to the toilet that night!!!

After the Red Centre I head up to Cairns for some R&R, during which time I will be going to Daintree and doing a dive in the Great Barrier Reef!

Well that's all for now! Next update after I have done my Red Centre tour!

Yes!  As you can see... I have FINALLY figured out how to change the size of the photo's so that I can put them in my blog!  It's about bloody time too!!!!

So, I am currently sitting in the hotel in Darwin where I have got excellent connectivity and so I am doing as much as I can today.  I flew into Perth, Australia 2 weeks ago and was picked up at the airport by my friend Charmaine (left) and her two daughters, Emily & Lauren.  I had a wonderful time in Perth.  We had afternoon tea at the Perth Mint, we took the ferry, walked in Kings Park, went to Fremantle and host of other things including going to the Caversham Wildlife Park where I saw the cutest, cuddliest little animals!  Like this gorgeous little Koala!.  Alan, Charmaine's husband very kindly let her come up to Broome with me, where we went out to see on a Pearl Lugger, drank Champagne and lounged on deck.  All in all a fantastic way to start the Australian part of my trip off!!!!!

I am now in Darwin, Northern Australia and tomorrow morning I head off on a 4 day camping tour of Kakadu, Litchfield and Katherine.  After that I fly to Alice Springs and do a 3 day camping tour of Ayers Rock and Kings Canyon.  From there I head on to Cairns where I will be going to Daintree and for my first dive on the Great Barrier Reef!  Watch this space!!!!

I'm pleased as punch I've figured out how to add photo's.  Oi... Leek, no more abuse from you  ;-)

Love, hugs and shparkles to all!  Till my next blog.... bye for now

I have arrived in Perth and am staying with my friend Charmaine and her lovely husband Alan and two daughters Emily and Lauren.

Perth is a beautiful, clean city!  Charmaine and I went to the Mint for High Tea, saw the bell tower, took a ferry, walked around in Kings Park and around the city, took a train and a bus!  Today we're going to watch the football and have a BBQ!

On Thursday I fly up to Broome for 4 days of R&R.

That's all for now!

It's 6.45am and I am getting ready to say goodbye to Singapore!  I have had a fantastic time here!  The people are friendly and it has been so good to catch up with my friends Hema, Bobby and Roisin and make new friends too!

Hema has been so supportive these last two weeks, I don't know what I would have done without her so this Blog is dedicated to her for her patience in listening to me rattle on and her supportive words of encouragement>

Thanks Hema, you're an ANGEL!

Next stop... PERTH!

WOW!  I have just eaten the most amazing seafood of my life... where I hear you ask... none other than Singapore's Red Light District.

The chef is the only one that will take your order so you have to keep an eye out for him (he's the one in the shorts, shirt and gumboots)!

We had the Clams, Prawns and Crab and it was in a word SUBLIME!

So this message goes out to Hema, Michelle, Sam and the gorgeous little Sophia who took me out in Singapore for a great evening of great food!  Thank you ladies!

Vietnam!

Hi Everyone!

I have just arrived back in Singapore from Vietnam!  Mmmmm, Vietnam!  Honestly.... besides the beauty of Ha Long Bay I'm afraid it was a bit of a disaster!  It definitely hits the BOTTOM of my list of places to see in Asia.  The War Crimes Museum in Saigon was very interesting and definitely enlightening!  However, it did not make up for the near food poisoning in Hanoi OR the "local meal" my guide took me out for in Saigon which pretty much resulted in me staying in my hotel room for the rest of my stay!

But I'm back in Singapore which I LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Next stop!  PERTH, AUSTRALIA!

Leaving for Singapore

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe I have finished my tours in Cambodia and Thailand and am heading on to Singapore!  In Singapore I am going to be spending time with friends.  Hema, Roisin, Bobby, etc.  It will be a pleasant break from 6am starts to go and see temples and jungle!

I have really enjoyed my time in Cambodia and Thailand but am looking forward to a little R&R, a little Spa time and chilling out with my friends.  Vietnam, which falls in the middle of my time in Singapore is sure to be a different experience.  I will be spending time in Hanoi, Ha Long Bay and Saigon.  From there its back to Singapore and then on to Australia for 12 weeks!

I have still not figured out how to reduce the size of the photo's to make them "web friendly" so that I can add them to my blog but those of you that would like to see some of my photo's I have uploaded albums in Facebook.

That's all for now folks!

Bangkok is hot hot hot

Yes, it's me again... with an update of course!  Today I went to 3 temples and a city tour of Bangkok.  I saw the Temple of the Golden Buddha (made from solid gold and weighing in at 5.5 tons).  Then it was on to the Temple of the Reclining Buddha which is the largest and oldest in Bangkok and finally the Marble Temple.  Did I mention that it is HOT and HUMID here!!!!  BUT the Margharita's and the Sangria is COOL COOL COOL!

Tomorrow I head out on a 9 hour tour (starting at the too early time of 6am) going to the Kanchanaburi Province to see the famous Bridge over the river Kwai and the beginning of the Death Railway.  The tour also takes us to the Allied War Grave Cemetaries and the JEATH War Museum.

On saturday I fly to Cambodia to see Angkor Watt!

Having a ball!  Can't actually believe that I'm here, doing this and more importantly doing it by myself!
